Broadband Forum Presents its Circle of Excellence Award to Ron Insler of RAD Data Communications

Forum Chairman Cites Insler for Being Significant Force in Mobile Backhauling Development

The Broadband Forum has presented its Circle of Excellence award to Ron Insler, Ethernet Access R&D Manager at RAD Data Communications, at its quarterly meeting now being held through September 18 in Tokyo, Japan.

In making the announcement, George Dobrowski, Chairman and President of the Broadband Forum noted that Insler has been a major contributor for many years in the IP/MPLS Forum and is a significant force in ensuring that mobile backhauling has become a key work of the Broadband Forum. “He heavily contributed to the specifications of TDMoMPLS and ATMoMPLS and his continued efforts are helping to synchronize network specifications in the united BBF,” Dobrowski stated.

The Broadband Forum Circle of Excellence recognizes exceptional achievement by individuals in the work of the Broadband Forum. Awards are made by nomination from the Forum’s membership and are awarded to a select few who have gone beyond the call of duty to accomplish tasks, which have a positive effect for the industry and the Broadband Forum.

Insler is the editor of the Technical Specification for MPLS in mobile backhaul networks, which will soon become a Technical Report. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in computer science from Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey and is also a graduate of Tel Aviv University. He has worked at RAD since 1990.
